We have a wall – well a corner and a door-way.
Work has started on the back corner of the house, this is the part with the most space underneath. I think that here the wall is up to about floor level, one thing is for sure – we are going to have a fantastic view out over Mooroolbark from our family room window
These photos were taken at the start of the week – Monday was a public holiday (Queens Birthday), so we actually got to the house in daylight.
June, 2006:
The Walls are Going Up
Construction Starts
Yes. Construction has started – well kind of, we now have a retaining wall. There is also the beginnings of a driveway. These photos looking from the “House” back to the road give some idea of the slope over the first few metres of the block. The side fence is just over the six-foot mark – looks like we are going to have some landscaping to do!
Razz – A Tribute
1991 – 7th April 2006
Razz.
You came into my life as my 17 birthday present as a 15 year old chestnut gelding. Later on when you got sick, and you had your teeth x-rayed we found out you were actually a lot older than that.
You tried hard at whatever you did; whether it was pony club, adult riding club, stock work, gymkhanas, shows, nav-rides or dressage competitions. You didn’t mind new born lambs running between your legs. I trusted you enough to drop the reins completely in pleasure mount classes at shows. You taught me all about jumping, I became very good at jumping the jumps while you remained on the other side of the jumps.
You became stubborn in your old age, wanting the company of humans more than your paddock mates and being fed on demand. You thought that coming inside was “normalâ€. You were very also very tough on your rugs – but you were more than worth it. You tried to wait till we got there, but you lost the battle, aged 42.
Good bye my friend.
