The CannibalRabbit bites back
It looks as though this might be the only fireworks seen in Melbourne tonight. A cold change has just rolled through bringing lightning and some good rain. This will put a real dampener on the celebrations in the city this year, even if it clears before midnight.

There is something about London’s Underground system, The Tube, that appeals to me. It seems more secretive than “normal” railways, sneaking around out of sight most of the time.
The news that there is now a London Underground and Tube Tour [^] gives me something to add to the must-do list for the next trip to UK. Now, how do I convince Mrs CannibalRabbit that she wants to spend 2 hours underground after spending a day flying half-way around the world?

Is it just me or is everyone else wondering why?
I thought that the twinned towns [^] were supposed to have some similarities. It’s hard to see the connection between a American tourist attraction and the former railway town. It seems that the link is a poem by Rebecca Warren [^] comparing the Magic Roundabout [^] with the Disney’s spinning teacup ride.
To further confuse newcomers the roundabout complex will feature a sign proclaiming the twinning with the Magic Kingdom.
